Vasco Nunez De Balboa

Vasco was born in Spain in 1475. His expedition started in 1513.

Vasco's Goal
Vasco wanted to claim land and to discover gold and gems.
If he was successful he would win the favor of King Ferdinand the VII.

The Result

Although he did not find precious metals he claimed the Pacific Ocean and all of the shores for Spain.
