Claims A vegetarian diet has many true claims. It claims to prevent less weight gain than a meat diet, lower cholesterol, and lower saturated fat amounts. However, the main issue is the lack of protein and other nutrients.
What it Really Does? A vegetarians diets claims line up with the true effects pretty well. Vegetarians have a lower risk of diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. Once again the main issue with this diet is the lack of protein, calcium, and iron.
My Opinion I personally feel that vegetarian diet is not necessary. I think that it does not provide all the nutrients you need and people should rather follow a diet with more variety such as the Food Pyramid.
