• A trail that went through north and south Vietnam Laos and Cambodia.
• Named after the president of North Vietnam.

Hawks and Doves

• Hawks are pro-war.
• Doves are anti-war.

Tet Offensive

• January 30, 1968.
• Brought on by North Vietnam to surprise attack South Vietnam and the U.S.

Vietnamization

• A policy by Richard Nixon to try and end war by enabling South Vietnam.

Kent State Shootings

• Students came together to protest on May 4, 1970.
• Ohio National Guard shot students who got in the way.

Legacy of the Vietnam War

• In Vietnam, bad effects of Agent Orange and Napalm.
• A lot of destroyed land.

Battle of Hue

• The U.S fighting back against the communists.
• Killing a lot of communists and destroying.

Hamburger Hill

• May 1969
• Part of a program to destroy North Vietnam.
• Mountain had bad terrain.
• Soldiers called it Hamburger Hill because Soldiers were "Chewed up" by the mountain.
