Conflict
The North Vietnamese government and the Viet Cong were fighting to reunify Vietnam under communist rule. They viewed the conflict as a colonial war. After the war began, America was involved and lots of other countries were involved as the war began.

Cause
The causes of Vietnam War were derived from the symptoms, components and consequences of the Cold War. The cause of the Vietnam War revolve around the simple belief held by America that communism was threatening to expand all over South-East Asia.

Resolved
The war actually ended in April 1975 when the North Vietnamese took Saigon and the South Vietnamese government fell. The U.S. part of the war ended with a truce in January 1973. It took about four and a half years to work out a settlement for the U.S. to withdraw. American support personnel and embassy staff were in Vietnam until the North Vietnamese were taking over.

How Will You Keep it from Happening Again?

Direct U.S. Military involvement ended on 15 August 1973 as a result of the Case-Church Amendment passed by the U.S. Congress. The capture of Saigon by the North Vietnamese army in April 1975 marked the end of the war, and the North and South Vietnam were reunified the following year.

What I Have Learned
I have learned is that the Vietnam war was a hard and rough war for everyone. I think that the North and South Vietnam government weren't agreeing on each other's opinion so the North Vietnamese took Saigon and made the South Vietnamese government fall.
