  • Electricity and Light Bulb allowed people to extend their days past the dark

Leland Stanford

  • He was a "Renaissance Man"
  • Build transcontinental railroad with 3 others
  • Important as it connected Atlantic and Pacific Coasts of USA

Andrew Carnegie

  • A scottish immigrant who worked in textiles at age 12
  • Created Steel mill produscing high quality steel
  • High quality steel for cheap so more could be used by more people

John Rockefeller

  • A wealthy business leader
  • Made Rockefeller Standard Oil
  • Controlled 90% of oil industry and can be used for cars and more.
  • Also formed the trusts, people who had oil in land give it for trust and profit

John Wanamaker

  • Retail Business attracted by advertising
  • Made department store, Grand Depot(Largest retail space)
  • Gave huge selection of products throughout building for everyone
  • Led the way for retail sores we have today

Thomas Edison's invention of the Light bulb, along with battery has impacted me the most. Without the battery, I could not do thus project, as I wouldn't have my computer.I couldn't play any video games as the controller runs by battery. Also, without the light bulb my bedtime would probably be earlier, as it would get to dark to do anything else.
