The founder of the Virginia Colony is John Smith. He came here with John Rolfe in 1607.

One of the reasons the Virginia Colony was founded is because the English were eager to find wealth in the in the Northern parts of the Americas.Another reason is because they wanted to establish permanent towns in the New World to stake a claim for the British government

Half of men were wealthy gentlemen and had personal servants that assisted them. There were only a few artisans and farmers, but not enough to grow enough crops for everyone.

The summers in Virginia were hot and humid which caused disease, but the winters were not difficult to survive. Virginia is mostly made up of mountains, valleys, and coastal plains.

The economical side of Virginia concentrated on agriculture and developed the plantations. They exported goods such as tobacco, cotton, corn, vegetables, fruit, livestock, and fruit.

There was not a specific religion that dominated Virginia. This reason gave way to all the religions, including Baptist and Anglicans.

Virginia was a representative colony. The representative colony lead to the creation of the House of Burgesses
