We envision being multi-ethnic, living out the beauty of racial reconciliation through the awesome reality of the gospel and our reconciliation to God through the Cross.
We envision being multi-generational, bringing together both young and old to share life together, work side by side, encourage each other and learn from one another, resulting in a beautiful synergy as we seek to serve the King as one body.
Missional. Every disciple of Jesus follows a God who is on a mission, a God who loves to seek, serve and save the lost. Therefore we must train our disciples to embody and live out God’s mission in their unique spheres of influence and service.
Multi-ethnic. The Great Commission to make disciples of all nations is the realized promise of God’s covenant with Abram to bless all peoples through him. Our church must intentionally strive to be multi-ethnic with its staffing, leadership, and ministry to the community. Being multi-ethnic is not being colour-blind, it’s about being engaged in the process of racial reconciliation and justice as a result of the reconciling work of Jesus Christ.
Multiplying. The goal of this church plant is not to survive or become self-sustaining. The goal is to identify, develop, and train emerging leaders in order to plant churches throughout greater Vancouver and beyond. We want to survive and become self-sustaining so that we may sacrificially give away resources, opportunities, and leaders that we develop towards church planting.
Multi-generational. The biblical definition of a generation is not limited to a life-stage or an age group but expands to incorporate the whole people of God at one point in time, people who are working together, leveraging and offering their gifts, talents, resources and experiences for the sake of the Kingdom work of God. We envision old and young working side by side, encouraging and learning from one another, resulting in a beautiful synergy as they seek to serve the King as one body.
