  • His newfound freedom may have caused him to overreact
  • This leaves Daedalus with a heavy heart, and symbolizes the end of a relationship
  • The bird that rises out of Icarus' grave symbolizes his lust for freedom

  • Uses new personality as release of anger and hatred
  • Finds pleasure at first in youthful, yet evil identity
