HENRY HUDSON WAS BORN IN 1565

IN 1607

HENRY WAS HIRED BY THE "MUSCOVY COMPANY" AND WAS HIRED TO FIND A NORTHWEST PASSAGE

HENRY HAD A BOAT CALLED "THE HOPEWELL"

AND WENT TO FIND A NORTHWEST PASSAGE. HIS VOYAGE WAS UNSUCCESSFUL

HE GOT STUCK IN THE ICE AND HIS SECOND VOYAGE FAILED AGAIN

HENRY WAS COMMISSIONED TO FIND A NORTH PASSAGE AGAIN IN 1608

SOME WHERE IN 1609

  • Henry makes a third trip in 1609 and was hired to a new company.
  • He had a new boat called the " Half Moon"
  • Henry Hudson found land which is called Nova Scotia in Canada
  • He also found a small island which is now called Manhattan and past a river which is called Hudson River.
  • Henry and his crew went back to England and got arrested for sailing under another nation's flag

IN 1610

HENRY STARTS HIS FINAL VOYAGE TO THE NEW WORLD.

FINAL VOYAGE

  • Henry is now working for the English and set sail on a ship called Discovery.
  • He found a strait which is named after Henry in the ocean that led them through the waters over Canada .
  • He sailed through the strait and went into a Large Bay which is also named after him.
  • Henry and his crew get stuck in the ice.

HENRY HUDSON GOT LEFT IN THE ICE IN EARLY 1611

HENRY HUDSON DIED IN 1611, STUCK IN THE ICE ALONE.
