  • Died on January 21, 1924 in Gori Leninsklye, Russia
  • Simbirsk, Russia was renamed Ulyanovsk after him

FAMILY

  • married to Nadezhda Krupskaya
  • well educated family
  • Six children, Vladimir was the third
  • All of Lenin's siblings took part in revolutionary activites
  • Had a gift in Latin and Greek

PART IN REVOLUTION

  • leader of the Bolshivks (Communist Party)
  • was part of the Red Army when Russia spilt
  • got arrested for his part in revolution

  • attended Kazan University
  • lived on his grandfather's estate
  • read radical literature that influenced his thought
