the results

#1 aesop rock

7392 words: his vocab is off the charts
Aesop Rock leads the charts in vocabulary size by a wide margin. Apparently he should actually be off the chart in the original report (here: http://bit.ly/1hnnRzJ).

Wu-Tang Clan

they dominate the charts with their vocabulary
Wu-Tang Clan has ten members and are ranked at number five on the chart. Several of its members as solo artists are in the top ten.

Wu-Tang's Contributions

Calculating Wu-Tang's word count from their ten members was complicated. It involved measuring number of words by each member. Their percentage contributions towards the count are shown here. (The author's methodology excluded Ol' Dirty Bastard, Cappadonna, and Masta Killa from the band's count--shown in the chart lumped together under "the rest").

#2 GZA

6426 words: Wu-Tang's rhyme master

#6 RZA

5905 words: Wu-Tang wordsmith

If Herman Melville were a rapper, this novel would put him at #4 on the chart.

One of my personal favorites.
