  • Definition:Changes in policy intended to improve a condition
  • Sentence: The company was going to reform their rules so things could be better

PROGRESSIVE

  • Definition: reformers in the in the late 1800's and early 1900's who worked to improve society
  • Sentence: My great grandpa explained to me very retailed what a progressive was and there jobs to be benefit the society.

  • Definition: the banning of the manufacture, distribution, and sale of alcohol beverages
  • Sentence: At the game there was many things that were prohibition such as alcohol drinks.

  • Definition: the right to vote in political elections.
  • Sentence: people have suffrage.

  • Definition: Residential neighborhood built outside a a central city.
  • Sentence: Outside of Dallas there's suburbs.

  • Definition:Moving from a wartime to peacetime economy
  • Sentence: The United States came into demobilization.

REFUGEES

  • People forced to leave their homeland because of war or persecution
  • Sentence: Refugees from Mexico have come to the United States.
