Assess
Definition: You estimate its value or ability.
Example: The judge assessed the defendants claim.
Answer: The average shows how many goals or points they make usually.

Compensate
Definition: When you compensate for something that you lack, you make up for it.
Example: Claire compensated a pencil to Alaina when the pencil Alaina gave her was broken.
Answer: Compensate is similar to the word replace because compensate is basically making up for or replacing what you lack.

Deteriorated
Definition: To become worse or inferior in condition, value, or character.
Example: The wood deterioratedr after being outside for a few years.
Answer: A synonym for deteriorated is to worsen.

Overwhelming
Definition: Something that is devastating is overwhelming or destructive.
Example: The family was devastated that they got robbed.
Answer: Tornados, hurricanes, and tsunamis have devastating effects as well.

Implement
Definition: To implement a plan is to put it into effect or make it happen.
Example: The computer developer implemented a new update to the game.
Answer:



Peripheral
Definition: Peripheral vision refers to the outer edges of where you can see.
Example: The mask blocked some of her peripheral vision.
Answer: Because if you didn't have peripheral vision you would not be able to see much to the side and back of you.
