VOCATION OF THE LAITY

WHAT IS THE LAITY?

• The Laity are all the baptized except for those in holy orders or religious state
• The Laity are the people of God that share in Christ's office.
• They have their own pat to play in the church mission.

THE LAITY AS PRIEST PROPHET & KING

• Means sanctifying teaching and governing.
• Lay people are chosen to preach the gospel as a prophet.
• They speak for God and are his witnesses.

• Lay people participate in the churches life and prayer.
• Kings are servant leaders that must have self discipline.
• As kings we must bring gods enlightenment and order to society.
