  • Tectonic plates- cocos plate is sinking under the Caribbean plate.
  • Boundary- convergent

The Santa Maria is a stratovolcano with explosive eruptions.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

  • Santa Maria was one of the twentieth sentrys largest eruptions
  • That last time recorded for an eruption was 2013
  • There are farms nearby, there isnt land use around the volcano

CONCLUSION

  • I think there will be a small eruption between 1016-2018.
  • I think the volcano will erupt soon because from 2008-2013 there were multiple eruptions every year.
  • Another reason i think there would be an eruption would be that its a big volcano and the last eruption wasnt big, telling us that all the magma might not be gone.
