Volcano Surfing the sledding of volcano slopes, was established by the 1970s and 1980s in South Africa, Jack Smith and Gary Fluitt popularized it in California in the early 1980s.

Volcano Surfing is usually practiced on huge volcano slopes, people climb up all the volcano, and after that they slide down all the hill.

In Volcano Surfing you must wear special protection such as: Jumpsuits, safety goggles and you slide on a wooden sled
