  • of Seattle, Washington, and 50 miles northeast of Portland, Oregon
  • Last eruption: July 10, 2008
  • Elevation: 8,366

MOUNT. BAKER

  • Mount Baker, also known as Koma Kulshan or simply Kulshan,
  • is an active glaciated andesitic stratovolcano in the Cascade
  • Volcanic Arc and the North Cascades of Washington State in the United States
  • Last eruption: 1880
  • Elevation: 10,781

WHAT CAUSES VOLCANOES?

  • A volcano is essentially an opening or a vent through which this magma
  • and the dissolved gases it contains are discharged.
