For my Natural Disaster presentation, I have chosen to learn about Volcanoes.

Volcano
A volcano is a mountain that erupts due to the pressure building within the molten rock in its core.

Volcano Facts

  • 11% of active volcanoes are in the US
  • After an eruption the danger zone can be up to a 20 mile area
  • Everything in the lava path is destroyed
  • It moves slowly enough for people to be evacuated
  • Poisonous gases can travel up to 100 miles
