  • Higher the income, vote Republican
  • Level of education of affects how he or she votes
  • College graduates vote Republican > high schoolers
  • High schoolers vote Republican > grade schoolers

GENDER, AGE

  • Women lean towards Democrats, about 5-10%
  • Men lean towards the GOP
  • People vote differently when dealing with:
  • abortion, health care, social welfare matters, or military involvement

RELIGION, ETHNICITY

  • Catholics and Jews vote Democrat
  • African Americans vote Democrat
  • North Americans vote Republican
  • Latinos vote Republican

GEOGRAPHY, FAMILY

  • Democrats are usually in the big cities of the North and East
  • Republicans dominate much of the suburban America; smaller areas
  • 9-10 married couples have the same views
  • Same surroundings, same views
