INCOME,OCCUPATION

  • Voters with lower income are more likely to be democrats
  • Voters with higher income are more likely to be republicans

EDUCATION

  • College and high school graduates tend to vote republicans
  • Also depends on what kind of education you get.
  • College grads vote republicans in higher percentages than HS students
  • High school. Grads vote repub more often than then in gr.sch

GENDER,AGE

  • Younger voters they more likely. To be democrats
  • Women generally tend to favor democrats
  • And the men often give the GOP a similar edge

RELIGION,ETHNICITY

  • Protestants often preferred the GOP (republicans)
  • Catholics and Jews have been much more likely to be democrats

GEOGRAPHY

  • The state or local the person lived had an impact on the voter behavior

FAMILY AND OTHER GROUPS

  • Members of the family usually all vote the same
  • 9/10 married couples share the partisan leanings
  • 2/3 follow the political attachments of their parents
