STONE PIPE
If I were to buy Sal a birthday present, I would buy her a stone pipe. I chose this as her birthday present referring to chapter 12 when Gramps went to a tourist attraction called Pipestone. The stone pipe I would get her wouldn't just be a normal stone pipe, it would be a rare one, or a special one. The reason being so that instead of Sal worrying about SMOKING it, it would be more of a rememberable gift.

I said to Sal but I just wanted to touch her hand. I did for five minutes. She finally got home. I went to kiss kiss her but I feel like she denied the kiss. I don't know if I will ever kiss her. Maybe next time?

NEW ENDING OF THE STORY
I think Sal's mother had been resting in peace the whole time as Sal was saying earlier in the book. I think that grams dies because of the snake bite. I have a feeling that Sal and her father will move back to Bybanks to remember all the memory's. Maybe Mrs. Winterbottom has been with the lunatic the whole time and just maybe he is not a lunatic just a friend. I think this because he was not mean to Phoebe and no one knows yet if the lunatic is the one leaving the letters. The last thing i will predict is that I think Ben is the one writing the letters. I think this because he was weird and different not to many people would expect it to be the boy that likes Sal.
