Basic facts about Walt Disney:
He created Mickey Mouse he won 22 Academy Awards in his lifetime, and was the founder of the Disneyland and Walt Disney World theme parks. He was born December 5, 1901 in Hermosa Illinois. He was one of five children he had three brothers and one adopted sister.

At the age of 16 Walt Disney dropped out of school to join the army but was rejected for being under age instead he joined the Red Cross and went to France to drive ambulance for a year. When he returned in 1919 he moved to Kansas City to start a career as an artist which soon lead to him producing short films like "Alice in the cartoon-land" which became wildly popular

For Several years Walt Disney struggled to pay his expenses. He gained success in 1928 when he released his first short cartoon that featured Mickey Mouse in "Steamboat Willie"
In the late 1940s Disney Drew sketches for an amusement park that's was a place that, after more than five years of planning it Walt Disney open Disneyland on July 17, 1955
Disney planned to make Epcot in late 1965 but died before he it was built

be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world."
Walt Disney died December 15, 1966 at the age of 65 from lung cancer. Walt Disney died a legend. He will be remembered by people all around the world.
