This is Marissa Alexander who was sentenced to
"10-20-LIFE"
- Anyone who shows a gun while committing certain felonies to be sentenced to 10 yrs in prison
- If someone is shot and wounded, the stench increase to 25 yrs to life
- This law was implemented in 1999
- This law was passing and is credited with helping to lower Florida's violent-crime rate.
