  • In the little rock high school (all-white school)

  • The main character is Melba,a teenage African American, living In little rock

SUMMERY OF WDC

  • In the story WDC Melba Tries to integrate into little rock high school
  • But during the integration a lot of white people show up and start
  • To blockade the school and harass the nine students the president
  • Hearing this sends troops to help the nine. Eventually the nine are allowed
  • To go into the school and learn there.

FIRST CONFLICT

  • The first conflict of this story is Melba signing up for the
  • All-white school and her internal story of her thinking she will not
  • Be able to join. When she does get to go to the school Melba has a moral
  • Decision to go or stay in the all-black school

2ND CONLICT

  • The second conflict in this story is a physical one
  • The conflict is with the segrigatists and their plots to
  • Get the nine out of that school. This is the hardest of the conflicts
  • That Melba must overcome.

THEME OF WDC

  • The theme of WDC is that no matter what the problem
  • Is you can always overcome it with bravery and determination

OPINION

  • In my personal opinion this book is a very inspirational and a
  • Very good way to pass the time. I would recommend the book to everyone
  • As a Book on a very inspirational story of a girl and a school
