Warts (Verrucae)

THE DESCRIPTION

  • Its a break in the skin that allows one of several hpv's to invade the body

CAUSES OF THE DIESEASE

  • Verrucae goes through tiny cuts or scraps of the skin.
  • It occurs after you have caught a infection.

SYMTOMS

  • Small bumpy skin
  • Soles on feet
  • Tiny black dots
  • Dots on the surface of the skin
  • Pain in the soles of the feet

TREATMENTS

  • You can off the skin
  • Peel away dead skin
  • Use over counters drugs
  • The drugs are: salicylic acid& liquid nitrogen
  • You can also use duct tape & plaster patches

PREVENTIONS

  • Do not touch other people’s warts.
  • Do not share towels, flannels or other personal items with someone who has a wart.
  • Do not share shoes or socks with someone who has a verruca.
  • Avoid scratching or picking your wart or verruca because it will encourage the HPV to spread to other parts of your body.
  • Take care when shaving because the virus can be spread easily if you cut yourself.

PROGNOSIS

  • Approximately 65% of warts will disappear within two years,[1] although in few individuals they may persist for a long time
