THE HAMILTON PLAN
Soon after rising to presidency, Washington was faced with a tough choice. Who should fill the position of Treasurer in the United States newly formed Government?

As the plan's name suggests, his first choice was Alexander Hamilton. Although there were many reasons for appointing him to this job, two main reasons include the fact that Washington and Hamilton had fought together in the Revolutionary War and Hamilton was a college educated man.

THE PLAN
The plan itself was a bold one. Hamilton received many criticisms for his ideas but this was by far his most controversial.
