In Florida

  • 1 of the 3 states in the U.S that are experiencing severe water shoratges
  • By 2050 groundwater depletion is likely without reducing consumption
  • 2 major droughts in Pasco County from 1994-2008
  • 2009 Pasco County was in a Phase III water shortage alert 
  • 2013 Pasco County was in Phase III  water shortage alert

In WEst Florida

  • 2010 - 6,700 claims in Florida for Sinkhole damage
  • 2/3 of these claims came from Hillsborough and Pasco
  • Pasco is part of "Sink Hole Alley"
