PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Evaporation

  • Is the process by which water changes from a liquid to a gas or vapor.

CONDENSATION

  • Is the process by which water vapor in the air is changed into liquid water.

SUBLIMATION

  • Is the conversion between the solid and the gaseous phases of matter, with no intermediate liquid stage.

PRECIPITATION

  • Is water released from clouds in the form of rain, freezing rain, sleet, snow, or hail.

TRANSPIRATION

  • Is the process by which moisture is carried through plants from roots to small pores on the underside of leaves, where it changes to vapor and is released to the atmosphere.

RUNOFF

  • Rain or snow falls onto the earth, it just doesn't sit there, it starts moving according to the laws of gravity.

INFILTRATION

  • Process by which water on the ground surface enters the soil.

RUN OFF

  • The Oil, grease and toxic chemicals from motor vehicles that run off the road land on the ground and when it rains they wash into water
