EVAPORATION

  • Evaporation is when water gets heated up and it turns into water vapor
  • You can't see water vapor, but you can feel it, a humid day is when there is lots of water vapor.

TRANSPIRATION

  • Transpiration is evaporation out of the plants.
  • The heat evaporates the water in the plants.

CONDENSATION

  • Condensation is when water vapor cools off and turns back into water.
  • Water droplets form together and make a cloud!
  • That is how clouds form.

PRECIPITATION

  • Precipitation is when clouds get too heavy and burst open.
  • Some clouds mix together and form a big cloud.
  • When clouds do that a lot the cloud gets too heavy and will burst open.
  • That will make precipitation
  • Precipitation can be rain, hail, snow, sleet and more.
