WATER POLLUTION FACTS

• It's harmful in to the environment
• Particles and chemical are pollutants
• 70% of earths water surface is contaminated
• Each year there are at least 250 million water based diseases

CURRENT INCIDENT IN COLORADO

• People with wells had to get the water tested before they could shower or drink the water
• Environmental protection agency accidentally spilled 3 million gallons of toxic waste water from an abandoned mine into Colorado Amimas River
• People could not let their livestock,pets or catch fish from the river they also could not mess with any animals near the river

What have humans done to cause the problem?
-Oil spills
-Waste
-Throwing trash into the water
-Landfills
-Animal waste

What have humans did to help the problem?
-They go to Beaches and save ducks that have been trapped in oil and feed them nurse them back to health
-They clean the beaches and collect trash
-Not uselessly using water
-Not throwing paint,oils and chemicals

What have humans did to prevent this in the future ?
-Use environmentally safe products
-Being mindful of what we throw away
-Be cautious about where you put your fertilizer
