Wave energy is the transport of energy by ocean surface waves, and the capture of that energy to do useful work

STUDYING SEA WAVES WITH RADAR, AQUAMARINE ENERGY MAKES RIDING THE WAVES MORE INTERESTING, GENERATION ELECTRICITY FROM WING WAVES THESE ARE THE THINGS WAVES ARE USED

Usually when we think about onshore ocean energy technologies, aesthetics problems come to mind the common belief is that onshore systems of any significant size will use miles of coastline and involve massive structure to channel waves and convert ocean energy into electricity

Yes it's widely accepted today because the worlds oceans are a large potential source of clean, renewable energy that, at present, remains 10% of global electricity needs and the electric power research institute estimates about 7% for the u.s. Which is the equivalent of all hydroelectric generation currently in operation

Positives about wave energy is that it never runs out there will always be waves crashing upon the shores

Negatives the biggest disadvantage to getting your energy from the wave is location, so wave energy is not the clean solution for everyone
