• W.C Handy was born in Florence, Alabama on November 16, 1873.Handy was an only child. His dad was a preacher and his mom is a stay at home mom. W.C was a nickname for William Christopher. His wife's name was Elizabeth Price together they had six children. W.C Handy died March 28, 1958, of Acute Bronchial pneumonia.

• w.c handy was called ''the father of the blues.'' he is not alive today. handy was many different things. he was a songwriter, composer, bandleader, musician, author, and many more things.

my opion about w.c. handy

• i think w.c. handy is an interesting person because his father was a preacher and w.c. was only allowed to play christian music or to his father it would be like the devils music and he had many interesting jobs to learn about.
