PRESENTATION OUTLINE
1.
MY SCIENCE POW EXAMPLE
2.
My example was ice wedging. The river in my neighborhood flooded with melting snow and ice. With it being flooded it caused even more ice!...

3.
Because the river flooded, there was water all over the land and roads. When it froze back up, it created huge ice slabs. ( I could not upload the pictures
on here... They are on edmodo.)
4.
This created pot holes in the road and the rock on the river bank to wear down, from the flowing of ice on the water.
5.
WEATHERING
Mechanical and chemical are the 2 types of weathering.
Chemical changes the composition of the rock.
Mechanical weathering breaks down but does not change.
Animals can play a big role in weathering! (Burrowing)
Acid rain breaks down rock but is chemical because it changes it.

EROSION
Erosion carries away the broken down rock.
A landslide is an example;the rock is already loose.
Erosion & weathering change earth's surface.
A lot of erosion happens near water.
Erosion can be carried away by wind, rain, & water.
