Our founders were John Haynes and Thomas Hooker who was born in the U.K. They were born on May 1, 1594(John Haynes) and July 5, 1586(Thomas Hooker). It was founded on March 3, 1635

One of our religions are Puritans. They believed that god expected them to live by the Scriptures.

They felt like god wanted them to reform to the Anglican church and to set a great example that would cause those who stayed in England to change the're sinful ways.

We are boarded by Rhode Island, Massachusetts and the Atlantic Ocean.

We have mountains, trees, rivers, but a poor rocky soil that make it hard to farm crops.

Fortunately, we have excellent ports. Some of the jobs are: Fishing, whaling, ship-building and sailing

Fun Facts for Connecticut

  • We became a state on January 9, 1788
  • There is no religious freedom in the areas with Puritans
  • We have the least disease. You won't miss the mosquitoes in Connecticut. Down in South Carolina they're dropping like flies from malaria and yellow fever
  • Connecticut was the 5th colony to become a state
