HISTORY

  • Started being populated on the early 1837
  • The Indian tribes were the first here ,location was s. 81 st. w.national av
  • West allis original name was "honey creek"
  • Importance of buisness: black smith shops, saw mills, post office, and churches
  • The north green field was the north west Chicago railroad

  • They mad public transportation for the state fair .
  • Things that were necessary, building houses and road .
  • Stutley Henderson and charles are important because Henderson,
  • Sold his property to Charles so he could build the huge plant.
  • Industrial Boo gave impetus to build homes for employes and owners

  • In the east part of the city, west of the bounders, south 56th street,
  • And south of Milwaukee railroad tracks.

  • In the 1980's allis chambers ceased all production In the city.
  • As of 2002 west allis was the 8th largest city with a pop of 63,000
  • Had six parks, a library with 206,996 books, the state fair, 42 churches
  • 16 pub schools, 2,000 business and a número use of veneration opportunities
