• You get tired quicker
• Drier air - no sweating, thirsty
• Sunglasses are really needed
• Sun is harsher on skin
• Abnormally strong winds

• Banff = 80 m
• Lake Louise = 90 min (add 15% if you use 1A)
• Golden = 2.5 hrs
• Radium = 2.5 hrs
• Revelstoke = 3.5 hrs
• Kamloops = 5 hrs
• Vancouver = 11hrs
• Doesn't include time beyond snacks and gassing up

If Tenting

• Many sites are self registration and get perpetually snagged by rental RV companies
• No food, tooth paste, soaps, etc in tents
• Some sites are hard/impossible to reserve

Don't Waste Your Time

• Canmore (Nordic Centre & Elevation Place)
• Rocky Mountain Legacy Trail
• Highway 40 crosses a number of biomes
• Field BC & Burgess Shale Hike
• Drumheller is worth it
