Whale Shark

  • The common name is whale shark.
  • The Genus name for it is Rhincodon.
  • The species name is typus.

The Physical Appearance

  • Whale sharks are a length of 12.65 m.
  • They are one of the biggest fish in the sea.
  • It has brown rubbery skin and has big white spots.

Physical Adaptations

  • They have a very wide mouth so they can eat a lot at a time.
  • Whale sharks have brown skin and white spots so they can camouflage.

Behavioral Adapations

  • They migrate in the Indian ,Atlantic,and the pacific ocean.
  • They camouflage in the sand or near rocks.

This is where all whale sharks live.

Intresting Facts

  • It is one of the biggest fish in the ocean.
  • It has over 300 rows of teeth.
  • Even though the whale shark is bigger than humans it is harmless to us

Humans impact on whale sharks are bad because we fish and catch them. And the worst part is that we found out that tuna fish attract whale sharks.
