  • Controls water in blood.
  • Many different up of many components.
  • It fights off disease.
  • Delivers chemical messages.
  • Blood clotting agents.

RED BLOOD CELLS

  • Produced in bone marrow.
  • Contains hemoglobin.
  • Delivers oxygen to the cell.
  • Carries C02 away.
  • Has a 120 day life span.

WHITE BLOOD CELLS

  • Fights off foreign diseases.
  • Twice the size of RBC'S.
  • Circulate throughout the body.
  • They digest unwanted bacteria.
  • Self replicate.

  • Irregularly shaped bodies.
  • Sticky surfaces for forming clots.
  • Only live 5-9 days.
  • Not cells.
  • Prevents blood loss.

HOW DOES A STROKE HAPPEN?

  • Blood flow to a part of the brain stops.
  • The brain can't get blood and oxygen.
  • It can cause permanent damage.
  • Many symptoms if you have a stroke.
  • Lack of oxygen.

  • Become paralyzed.
  • A lot of medication.
  • Can't eat on your own.
  • Can't talk.
  • Congested a lot.

WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO AFTER A STROKE.

  • A lot of medication.
  • Need a feeding tube.
  • You can't control anything.
  • Won't be able to walk or talk.
  • Lose your memory.
