Would the people be able to predict the eruption? if yes, How?

  • Every once in a while there were small tremors.
  • The temperature was always higher by the volcano than the city.
  • you could smell the sulphur around the volcano
  • No because they thought the gods wanted them to die.

The effect

  • The volcano expelled sulphuric gases that formed from pyroclastic flow
  • People breathed in the gases, got poisoned and  suffocated to death.
  • Volcanic ash showered the people and covered them, preserving them.
  • This affected many people from other cities.
