This meeting is to bring you up to date with the changes in the CS program which we hope will result in our students succeeding at higher levels in the certification exams.

GOAL OF THIS MEETING

  • Practice in edTPA tasks in lower level courses
  • Lesson commentaries, self-reflection, video-taping, edTPA rubrics for assignments, Academic Language use
  • EAS and ALST - fluency in reading and interpreting tables, graphs, charts, using evidence to make an argument
  • Faculty Resources - edTPA Handbook, CS Portal, CICU website Video Library http://www.isnetworked.org
  • June Workshops June 9th 9-12 in Shea, June 10th 4-7 in Shea, June 11th 9-12 in McGann

RECOMMENDATIONS

  • CTs - on-going assessment throughout lesson
  • CTs - engaging lessons using critical thinking, higher level thinking skills, and problem solving
  • Sister Loretta, Provost, - assign reading of Primary Sources
  • Academic Language facility throughout the program
  • Argumentation elements - acclaim, evidence, rebuttal, conclusion
