PRESENTATION OUTLINE

WHAT I LOVE LOVE LOVE

HORSEBACK RIDING

An Example of sliding friction is:

  • When my horse is walking the sliding friction
  • is between my horse's hoof and the ground.
  • This effects motion by my horse having to
  • use more force to over come the friction.

AN EXAMPLE OF ROLLING FRICTION IS:

  • When we drive carts at my barn.
  • The rolling friction is between the
  • tires on the cart and the ground.
  • This effects motion by the horse or pony
  • having to us a stronger force to pull the cart.

AN EXAMPLE OF FLUID FRICTION IS:

  • When I am riding and air hits my face
  • that is a form of fluid friction.
  • this affect the motion of the horse by her
  • having to fight the air with a greater force

AN EXAMPLE OF BALANCED FORCES:

  • Is when my horse is standing still.
  • I know this because there is no mtoion.

AN EXAMPLE OF UNBALANCED FORCES:

  • Is when my horse an I are trotting.
  • I know this because there is motion.

AN EXAMPLE OF INERTIA:

  • Is when I run the bit (the part that goes
  • into the horses mouth) through the my horse's
  • mouth to slow her down she resist.
  • I know this is intertia because she resist the
  • pull (or force) I give.

IN REFERENCE POINT TO THE:

  • Stool my instructer sits on during my lesson
  • I am in motion when I am walking.

AN EXAMPLE OF A NET FORCE:

  • Is when the horse (after bitting
  • the grass) pulls the grass up with
  • a force of 30N the fluid friction pulls
  • down on it with a force of 5N (this
  • implies fluid friction.
