SYMBOLS

• Anything that represent something else
• Any word, gesture, symbol, or event
• All cultures commumicate symbolically

TECHNOLOGY

• Rules of useing physical objects
• Use of material culture
• Examples would be understanding how silcon chips work or hacking

LANGUAGE

• Organization of written or spoken symbols in the standard system
• Used to express any idea
• Used in television, magazines, books, and radio

VALUES

• Shared beliefs on what good/bad and wrong/right
• Values help determine a thpe of person someone is
• A group that values war will be very different then a group who values sharing

NORMS

• Rules of conduct that tell people how to react in situation
• Norms are expectations of behavior not actual behavior
• Theres a tremendous amount of norms that exist in our society
