What is the effect of radiation on brain tumers

By: Damien Napier

WHAT IS RADIATION?

  • Radiation- the emission or transfer of radiant energy as particles, electromagnetic waves, sound, etc
Cell phones where invented in the 1960's by a jazz musician called Teri Pall but he couldn't get very far

TUMERS

  • 1. swelling or morbid enlargement; this is one of the cardinal signs of inflammation.

CELLPHONES

  • The first cell phones where invented in April 3, 1971 by Dr Martin Cooper, a former general manager for the systems division at Motorola

THE EFFECT OF RADIATION ON BRAIN TUMERS

  • Cellphones do have some effect on tumors because the Mobile phones use electromagnetic radiation in the microwave range. Other digital wireless systems, such as data communication networks, produce similar radiation.
  • This radiation can cause problems with the brain including tumers

TUMERS

  • The word tumor is derived from the Latin word for crab because cancers are often very irregularly shaped, and because, like a crab they attach and it takes a lot of force to make them let go.

IS THERE A CURE FOR TUMERS?

  • There is no known cure for tumors but there are treatments to tumors such as chemotherapy or simply having them remove it which could be potentially dangerous. Which can cause brain damage or in extreme cases death.

ARE TUMORS THE ONLY THREAT?

  • Tumors aren't the only threats from cellphone radiation there is also radiation cancer which is just as deadly but requires you to spend more time in the hospital.

WHY SHOULD WE USE ARE PHONES LESS?

  • To get this radiation cancer you need to spend large amounts of time of your phone so by cutting that you might be preventing your death.
