WHAT MAKES A GOOD LEADER

BY: JAMES ROGERS

Definition of Leadership:
habitual positive effectiveness. Leadership is a cultivated habit of understanding the world as your world, as your network of communities that are in need of your care so that both they and you can grow into themselves. Leadership is moving your communities forward in their missions. Leadership is effective, entrepreneurial service toward mission.

GENERAL LONGSTREET

  • Lincoln was against slavery from the start of the war, and he followed through

  • Additionally, he was a president and a president's job is to lead a country,
  • and it is hard to become president without being a good leader

  • These leaders are focused on what is best for the community, not themselves

  • who looked out for the best of the army
  • Lee often ignored key reccomendations from Longstreet and
  • only listened to generals from Virginia.

RICHARD III

  • Richard III was a bad leader before the final battle;
  • instead of building up his army, he criticized the opponent
  • He focused only on winning, and not his army like Longstreet

TOM SAWYER

  • Tom Sawyer made all decisions in his best interest
  • He had many followers, and took advantage of them
  • He manipulated his friends to do his chores

SIMILARITIES OF BAD LEADERS
