CLIMATE

  • The climate in Nigeria during the 1890's was very hot
  • It would range from 90-105 degrees
  • Tropical climate

CROPS

  • There are quite a few crops that were grown in Nigeria
  • Beans, cocoa beans, and soy beans
  • Sesame, melon, palm kernels, palm oil, rice, and yams
  • Cashew nuts, cola nuts, and ground nuts

LAND FEATURES

  • Plains- The northern area is taken up by plateaus with a elevation between 1,960 and 2,300ft
  • Mountain dominate the southeast of Nigeria and continue across the border into Cameron
  • The climate helps support the mountian forests and their animal population
  • Some animals that live here are hippos and fruit bats
