Where I’m From

I am from the gorgeous shores of Lake Huron
with sandy beaches, cool breezes, and boats coming to dock.
I am from the chalky white middle class and a broken home
with the best loving family of multiple parents and brothers.
I am from the complicated background that has made me stronger
with fiery passion for teaching, dedication, respect of family.
I am from the belief of being in church on Sundays
with a tradition dedicating your life to helping others and repentance of sins.
I am from the stubbornness of a German and the luck of the Irish,
with a general understanding of the long history of a large farming family.
I am from the being a good father, husband and role model,
with a fun loving responsibility to my young family.
