Whisper to me is the story of a girl trying to find herself again. The once happy and joyful girl has now been turned into a girl filled with sadness.
Who is the main character?
Whisper to Me is a story revolved around the life of a girl named Cassandra. The death of her mother and friend, has left her battling with a mental illness called PTSD.
Where does the book take place?
Whisper To Me is set in the town of Oakwood, New Jersey. Oakwood was once a place where people felt safe in but due to recent events, people are now fearful of their safety. Cassandra vists the beach often as it brings her comfort.
Who is her love interest?
“You” as her is referred to in the book, is renting from Cassandra’s dad. Cassandra begins to develop feelings for him and her dad is not supportive of it at all.
Why do I recommend this book?
Whisper to me covers some sensitive topics such as death of loved ones and mental illnesses. I found that the author didn’t hesitate to talk about such important issues which I feel we should all be aware of. Some may find this book to be hard to read (topic wise) but for those who do decided to read it, it is definitely a great read.
