  • A fable is a short story that teaches a lesson or moral.

  • Aesop was a Greek slave who made up famous fables.
  • One of his most famous fables is called "The Tortoise and The Hare."
  • His fables usually teach a moral or lesson such as " slow and steady wins the race."

  • For about 200 years Greece celebrates Aesop's tradition
  • Since then writers have retold the story's in different ways
