Marketing means brand, messaging, style, details.

Operations means delivery, follow-through, accuracy.

Sales means, well, sales

Service means touches, connections, communications

However...

  • No single department's 'rules' should be forced on the others
  • Especially not onto clients and customers
  • The entire company (and all of its departments) should be FOR the customer
