You should first decide what email address to use - strongly suggest your use your College email address, alternatively you could create yourself a free and unique email address using something like gmail - other email providers are available ;)

Remember though - this email is ONLY for the purposes of education and learning, it should not be attached to or used for any other purpose.

twitter
Twitter is where you can capture the most support and inspiration outside of the classroom.

Using your chosen email address set yourself up with a twitter account which identifies you as a learner, including your name.

Discuss - what might be the PITFALLS? Security issues.

Follow the department twitter account, using the 'following' list to see who else to follow.

To help you organise and save important images, sites, videos.

Use your designated email/twitter account to sign up.

Visit the department Wordpress blog to find the link to the department boards and follow. Using the boards the department is following to help you decide who to follow.

We may use this collaboratively to save work for news story reports.

Access your PLN Twitter account this way - you can add an account and access multiple accounts using your phone/tablet - just remember, you need to be careful that you are posting using the appropriate account.

Download Pinterest and access your PLN boards.

Download HaikuDeck and use your PLN to log-in and create presentations for your learning.

Use Storify to gather information on news stories.

Download Wordpress and use your learner profile to register - follow the blog.
